New Recipe: Sierra Mist Biscuits

So.... I've been working on several photo books recently and LOVE to make them. I've decided that I want to make a Family Recipe Book. I don't have a specific time frame in mind, maybe we can finish it up around the end of the year. Now for the big request - I need everyone to take pictures of recipes as you make them. You can do prep pictures, step by step pictures, or just after pictures - whatever you'd like. I'll send y'all an invitation to Mixbook.com where we can all contribute and edit the photo book. The more help from folks, the better the book will be.

Now for the biscuits... My adjustments in Blue.

2 Cups Bisquick plus a little (No need to measure completely accurately)

1/2 Cup Sour Cream

1/2 Cup 7-up or Sierra Mist

1/4 Cup Melted Butter (unsalted is better)

1. Cut Sour Cream into Bisquick

2. Add 7-Up. Makes a very soft dough.

3. Sprinkle additional biscuit mix on board or table and pat dough out.4. Melt 1/4 cup Butter in a 9 inch square pan. (Put butter in pan and melt in the oven as it preheats)

5. Place cut biscuits in pan and bake at 450 degrees until golden brown. (I fold them in half - makes them tear apart easy)

6. Enjoy

Happy Easter! Hope y'all enjoyed your Easter and the special meaning of the day.

We had a very nice Easter. We died eggs on Saturday with our neighbors (Dave & Dee & Family). I had prepared 15 eggs - 5 for each of my kids. That is plenty for our family. Somehow we managed to come home with 42. Marci had bought and boiled 12 dozen eggs (a dozen for each kid). Yes we really did have 12 kids dying Easter eggs at the same time. I think it was a success - kids had fun, minimal mess and the guys setup, monitored, and cleaned up.

Sunday morning, Kyler was super excited to see that he had a green Easter basket full of "candy and stuff". Church was nice with several songs by the choir and two wonderful talks. (Big) Steve and Florie joined us for lunch. We had a smoked ham from the pigs we raised last year. Then... finally the kids were able to go outside and hunt for their (plastic) eggs that big Steve had hid.

(note to self: don't let big Steve hide the eggs next year with out someone watching where he puts them... he forgets)

Old MacDonald had a farm...

O, I mean Little Kyler had a farm. Yes, that's correct Kyler (who has also been known to only answer to Farmer Jones) is accumulating quite the animal list. On that farm he had 2 dogs --- with a bow wow here and a bow wow there On that farm he had 2 cats --- with a meow here and a meow there

On that farm he had 2 pigs --- with an oink oink here and an oink oink there

On that farm he had 5 Chicks --- with a chirp chirp here and a chirp chirp there

We recently (last Saturday) got 5 baby chickens. Everyone who wanted one got one and I got the "back up". They all have unique special names as well.
